Postural Analysis and Corrective Exercise

The reduction of pain and injury rehabilitation is our specialty at Blacksburg Pilates and Fitness Studio. A Postural Analysis will be performed on each individual and will be assessed for muscular imbalances. Pain in one area of your body causes you to overcompensate with other parts in order to protect the injured area. The incorrect movement patterns you develop to avoid pain leads to further discomfort and dysfunction (often in other parts of your body) that worsen over time. We also assess non-physical areas of your life to determine what issues may be adversely affecting your overall health. Programs are then carefully designed to help guide rehabilitation, exercise recommendations, reduction of stress, and improvement of faulty movement patterns. The combination of our unique assessments, coaching and training methods ensure you not only to reach your goals, but also develop a higher level of mental and physical function in your everyday life.

Fitness and Weight Loss

Do you want to improve your fitness level? Many individuals are timid to enter a gym when starting their fitness journey. At Blacksburg Pilates and Fitness Studio, individuals get that private one on one experience. Your personal trainer will lead you through a challenging, full body weight training workout that will get your heart racing, your blood pumping, and keep your motivation levels high! Our fitness and exercise programs are specifically designed to meet the needs and goals of all fitness levels.

Small Group Training

Grab your friends and have some fun! You can form your own group of 2-5 people or join an existing group. Get all the benefits of private personal training for a fraction of the cost and have a great time with others. Group workouts are fun and challenging and include cardiovascular exercise, strength training, core work, and stretching. This is a great option for people just starting out or who have been exercising for years, who like a somewhat "traditional" functional training program to increase core strength and general conditioning.

Senior Fitness
